The “Ways to Quality” system is being used in many countries including Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria and Britain. The Handbook has also been adapted for different specialised fields and is used in the following professional fields: curative education and social therapy, schools, residential accommodation for older people, early years settings and hospitals. The specialised and country groups organise themselves and clarify their relationship with the Foundation by means of a written agreement.

The Foundation is not for profit and is carried financially by the affiliated organisations. It publishes an annual report and accounts.
